The district and sessions court in Islamabad has approved bail for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Azam Khan Swati in a case related to violating Section 144.

Azam Swati, accompanied by his lawyer, appeared before Judge Awais Muhammad Khan for the hearing. The court granted bail upon submission of a Rs5,000 surety bond.

Swati’s lawyer argued that the case was baseless and unjust, pointing out that his client had been granted bail the day after his arrest.

Despite this, Swati was declared a proclaimed offender and a police officer was made the complainant. After considering the arguments, the court confirmed the bail.
