Govt recognizes the value of labourers in national economy: PM Shehbaz
LAHORE: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized on Wednesday that his government recognizes the importance of laborers and workers in the national economy.
He called on the wealthy, businessmen, investors, and industrialists to prioritize improving the conditions of workers.
Speaking to a gathering of laborers and workers from various sectors at his residence in honor of International Labour Day, the Prime Minister acknowledged the challenging economic situation of the country. However, he assured that his government is working hard to improve it through collective efforts and sincerity.
Shehbaz mentioned that Pakistan is on track to becoming a powerful country by establishing a fair system and through the hard work of employers, employees, and workers.
He also mentioned that the government is focused on making significant changes in the national economy and recovering billions of rupees lost to corruption.
Regarding his recent visit to Saudi Arabia, the PM stated that Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and other leaders expressed their desire to see Pakistan progress. A delegation of Saudi businessmen and investors will soon visit Pakistan, leading to increased business opportunities and job creation in the country.
The Prime Minister announced that in the upcoming fiscal budget, the government will aim to provide more relief to the labor class.
