The Chief Justice of Lahore High Court (LHC) referred the request to extend the protective bail of former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry to a division bench on Wednesday in Lahore.

Fawad, accompanied by his wife Hiba Fawad, appeared before Chief Justice Malik Shahzad Ahmad Khan.

He mentioned that the LHC had previously granted him protective bail in 36 cases and asked for an extension. The chief justice then directed his request to the division bench led by Justice Alia Neelam.
