The Rawalpindi anti-terrorism court has granted bail to Sheikh Rashid, the founder of the Awami Muslim League, in connection with the riots that took place on May 9. The bail plea hearing was presided over by Judge Malik Ijaz Asif. According to the court’s ruling, Sheikh Rashid is required to submit surety bonds worth 0.2 million before being released from Adiala jail. Sheikh Rashid’s legal representatives, Sardar Abdul Razzaq and Sardar Shehbaz, were present in court, while the prosecution was absent during the hearing.

In a significant development, the Rawalpindi anti-terrorism court has decided to grant bail to Sheikh Rashid, the esteemed founder of the Awami Muslim League, in relation to the unfortunate riots that unfolded on May 9. As per the court’s ruling, Sheikh Rashid must fulfill a vital requirement before his release from the confines of Adiala jail. This entails submitting surety bonds worth a substantial sum of 0.2 million. Once this obligation is met, Sheikh Rashid will finally regain his freedom, albeit temporarily, until the conclusion of the legal proceedings.
