Petition filed in SC for implementation of National Action Plan

SC receives IHC recommendations over alleged meddling in judicial affairs - UTV Pakistan

In Islamabad, a petition has been submitted to the Supreme Court calling for the implementation of the National Action Plan 2014.

The Patron-in-Chief of Martyrs Forum Balochistan, Nawabzada Jamal Raisani, filed the petition with the help of Advocate Hafiz Ehsan Khokhar. The respondents include the federal and provincial governments, the Ministry of Interior, and others.

The petition urges immediate action on police reforms and quick resolution of pending terrorism cases in all courts. It also calls for the federal and provincial governments to follow international standards in protecting and prosecuting witnesses, providing free education for children, and ensuring security for families affected by terrorism.

Additionally, the petition highlights the importance of combating terrorism spread through social media platforms and demands legal action against those who falsely accuse missing persons of being terrorists.
