In Lahore, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar announced on Friday that the government is reducing electricity tariffs as a special gift for consumers during Eid-ul-Fitr.

In an exclusive interview with a private TV channel, the minister emphasized that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s primary focus is on reducing inflation rates.

He also revealed that there has been a significant decrease of 3.82 rupees per unit in power tariffs in April compared to the previous month.

The information minister highlighted the government’s successful efforts in preventing the country from defaulting, which has resulted in stable exchange rates and the strengthening of the rupee due to its strategic policies.

Furthermore, he shared that Bloomberg magazine reported a two percent decrease in inflation in Pakistan and predicted a further decline in the upcoming year.
