Torrential rains claim nearly 200 lives across Pakistan since July 1: NDMA
Recent heavy rainfall in Pakistan has resulted in a significant number of casualties and injuries. According to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), a total of 195 people have died and 362 have been injured in rain-related incidents from July 1 to August 17.
The continuous downpours have caused extensive damage to lives, properties, crops, and livestock across the country.
The latest report from NDMA indicates that seven deaths were reported in the last 24 hours, with six in Punjab and one in Balochistan.
The total death toll has now reached 195. Additionally, 30 individuals were injured during the same period, with the majority of injuries occurring in Punjab, totaling 29. The overall number of injuries from the severe weather conditions stands at 362.
